Born two minutes after midnight New Years Day, I was the first born in Wichita Falls, Texas, to a Shepherd Air Force Base soldier.  At the age of eighteen months polio struck leaving my right leg paralyzed.  Perhaps because of this, perhaps not, this artist was quiet and shy until high school in Phoenix, Az, where my family moved. Even though I was active in school and
I am as a citizen, I consider myself an introvert.
Besides Arizona, I've lived in California as a young adult and Missouri for eighteen months.  I presently live in Artspace Tannery Loft s (Tannery Art Center), Santa Cruz, California.
As a child, I drew houses in the dirt and built them out of boxes.  I was enraptured by textures, fabrics and colors.  I gathered the neighborhood gang for shows I directed.  I was always creating.  In high school I exhibited leadership and entertainment abilities but college and a vocation was my focus, so I didn't take art.   I took a breather after high school, worked, got married, had a baby and returned to college. That pattern continued (even remarrying the same man) until there were a total of three beautiful and talented children and two grandchildren.
My interest in the arts immediately resurfaced after high school and I spent years in college enjoying one field after the other including architecture and interior design.  I found my bliss when I discovered watercolors and developed my own style and technique of painting.  I entered the market in 1989 and continue showing.  I have a Bachelor of Arts, but enjoy self-education and challenging casual concepts of watercolors.  Hopefully my work, when contemplated, causes reflection, inspiration and wonder.
